Dollar General Forum - Hired but now they're not sure.: So over a month and a half ago I applied...

So over a month and a half ago I applied to Dollar General I went through all the hiring processes and two weeks ago was told when my first day would be. I put my two weeks in at Dollar Tree and today was supposed to be my first day. I get to the store and find out the guy who hired me has since moved to another store and the Assistant Manager told me the acting store Manager is not sure if i'll be able to work there now, but they still took my ID's(licence and SS number). So i'm not sure what to do now, wait it out or look some where else.
