No, company policy is that you are required to take a break if you work 6 hrs or more. Raking a 15 or half hour break is optional, but if payroll budget is over or if an employee clocked in too early which also messes up budget, managers can have them make it up by evening out what was scheduled. It states this in the employee handbook. I gave my employees 15 and half hour breaks, but i had go give mine hour linches because our estimated budget allowance was so low. I shouldnt habe been so kimd though
They all backstanned me and made malicious lies claiming i was on drugs because i lost 50 lbs from gastric atrophy. There was no drug test, my DM flashed lights in mh eyes asked if i was on pills or any othwr street drugs. That was humiliating and hurt bad, she has always been kind to me. She let me resign due to illness. Two days later i get a letter saying i was terminated for drug and alcohol policy. Yes they have an at-will in tjeir contract we sign that saus they cam fire you for no reason and yes they can let you resign and then terminate anyway. But when 4 associates resented me (training store manager of a Regional Training Center in West TN) because tje weaker i got, tje less i was able to handle. Nut i already had plans to train my assistant so i can take leave under FMLA, but they did this the day before. We are suing them for defamation of character (malicious intent to harm reputation and emotional distress (that store was mine from day it opened and it was 100% clean, recovered model store) . They also told my cashier tjat our CCTV has no audio so she can say what she wants so when my husband camein and bought stuff and left, she called corporate on him. Slander.

There is a trick to the new bonus plan. The trick is to stay @ 104%. That way you get your bonus. If your working above 104% slack off and catch up on other details.
If your not able to reach 104% in your current store - then transfer to another store.
When making that 104% gets hard - transfer.
That way your skills will appear to be better than the other managers.
For some odd reason- this trick is eceptable to upper management.
I seen a store manager trainer do this transfer trick & she's soooooo admired by corperate.
I think she offers to help @ other stores so she can check out the sales.
She hinders sales until she is store manager & then she keeps it at 104% until it gets hard. Then moves on to the next.
Make sure to start raising sales at the beginning of your 1st quarter. Time before your quarter starts doesn't count for your bonus because you have to be there the entire quarter.

I know in hand book you can't have a relationship inside the work but if you are friends Why can't you hang out outside of the workplace. I do not see anything in the policy or the Handbook of saying we can't but we were told we can not hang out outside the workplace, So if someone can really answer that I would really appreciate it.

Thats INSANE because the SAME exact thing happened to me! Was performing so well that my customers were legit bringing in essays about me that they wrote to corporate. Before I knew it my house was literally on fire across the street, and when I asked to make sure my girlfriend wasnt inside, she made it out as if it wasnt an emergency AND ILLEGALLY made me stop a shoplifter OUTSIDE THE STORE in order to actually DETER me from seeing if my house was engulfed in flames/if my girlfriend was dead.
Next day I was written up FOR THAT..literally she sent me home afterwards because my gf KNEW that she wouldnt let me RUN ACROSS the St to see if she was okay so she came to the store...which somehow resulted in the Manager getting MAD and SENDING ME HOME.
So then the DM comes the next day, ACTUALLY TELLS ME THE SITUATION WAS SEEMINGLY UNFAIR, AGREED TO BE MY WITNESS FOR SAID WRITE UP...AND LEGIT JUST LIED TO MY FACE AND WALKED RIGHT OUT.
Big surprise, I was terminated AFTER my shift. This happened to everyone who worked there at that time except for one employee that got complaints every week about rudeness and racism, also couldnt read and everyone knew it except that manager...but she was black and the store manager was a black woman and they dumb chick did nothing but suck-up because she isnt capable of much else, so she kept her and fired EVERYONE else I wokred with before and after my firing.

Beyond B I agree with you if the manager cares, as an employee you care as well. My store is always short on hours but its hard to find people that really want to work. I'm disable but I do more than my share and the customers know when I'm not there or haven't worked in a few days. I do find myself praying a lot(lol) if I wasn't on disability and in so much pain most of the time I sure I could be a DG store manager in no time. It can be a nice place to work at times.
